Red Cat Consignment Boutique
The Red Cat Consignment Boutique’s First Consign-O-Ween Kicks-Off
Dallas’ Princess Alexa Foundation Costume Collection Drive
Dallas, TX – October, 2009 - As consignment becomes more fashionable in the tight economy and challenge to reduce, reuse and recycle, Marukh & Steve Hall have created a boutique that is much more than just a consignment shop! They are breathing more life into the Lake Highlands Shopping Center, supporting the community by hosting area networking mixers and pet adoptions, and by becoming Dallas’ drop-off for The Princess Alexa Foundation.
Dress up in your costumes early on Halloween and come by the Red Cat between 10am-6pm and bring a spare costume to share the spirit of dress-up with a sick child! Your donation of a new dress-up delight (child sizes 2-10) will be donated to The Princess Alexa Foundation, created in the memory of Alexa Aigner, a bright and beautiful girl who passed away from neuroblastoma cancer on June 25, 2008, to celebrate the childhood spirit of seriously ill children through dress up and play.
The store will be transformed into a spirits delight! Come early to make your own caramel apples, munch on tasty bat wings or come a bit later for the adult costume contest between 5p-6p and find out your future from the tarot card reader and fortune teller! Bottles of blood and gift certificates to the store will be awarded to: funniest, scariest, prettiest, most original, best couple, and best overall!
Kids costumes will be collected through November 6th to be delivered to The Princess Alexa Foundation Dress-Up Drive Collection Party on Saturday, November 7th in Colleyville!
About The Princess Alexa Foundation:
Alexa was a 4-year-old little girl who was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma on December 12, 2005. She had several rounds of chemo, therapies and a Bone marrow transplant, all tragically unsuccessful but Alexa endured it all with a smile all dressed up in her princess costumes! After 21 months on experimental therapies to prolong her life as long as possible Alexa passed away on June 25, 2008 cradled in the arms of her parents. The Princess Alexa 501c3 Foundation was created in her memory to celebrate the childhood spirit of seriously ill children through dress up and play by collecting new costumes and accessories for children ages 2-10. Dress up items need to be new allowing children with weakened immune systems to keep and enjoy them. It is important to the foundation that children get to choose a costume that they want since the life-choices for a sick child are so limited; playing dress up can make forever cherished memories. www.princessalexafoundation.org
